General Information and Conditions

Preamble

This information constitutes the basic conditions of the agreement between you, the customer, and Plantagenet Tours.

By signing up for a Plantagenet Tour (filling in and signing the registration form and paying the deposit) you accept the following conditions as part of the business agreement between yourself and Plantagenet Tours and you declare that you are aware of these conditions before you sign up for the tour.

What is included in the land tour price:

Hotel accommodation

Accommodation in rooms with private facilities or similar.

Hotels are normally three star or two star according to availability, but they always have private bath or shower, and toilet. Rooms may have twin beds, double beds or day beds. Single rooms are available at the supplementary cost shown. The operator reserves the right to make changes in the hotels where deemed necessary or advisable.

Meals

Breakfast and dinner is included every day (Lunch is not included). Beverages are not included with dinners.

Transportation

By minibus or motorcoach according to the size of the group.

Transfers

Transfers from and to airport are provided as indicated in the itineraries.

Service charges and taxes

All service charges and taxes at hotels are included, so no extra tipping will be necessary. Gratuities to the tour director, driver and other staff are customarily left to the discretion (and the generosity) of the tour members and are therefore not included in the tour costs.

What is NOT included in the Land Tour Price:

AIRFARE, passport expenses, baggage insurance, health insurance, trip cancellation insurance, beverages (wines, liquors, mineral waters, soft drinks), room service, laundry, dishes other than those on pre-arranged menus, snacks between meals, telephone calls, services of a purely personal nature.

Luggage Limitations

Please don't bring more than one normal suitcase per person due to the limited capacity of the motorcoaches. Overnight flight bags are also allowed but must remain in the the possession of the customer at all times. Plantagenet Tours is not responsible or liable for loss, damage or theft of luggage or personal belongings, so please be sure to have adequate insurance to cover loss, damage or theft.

Arrangements

The tour price includes the ordinary Plantagenet services as advertised. If changes or additional arrangements are requested by a tour member such extra charges are at the tour members expense.

Tour Director

Each escorted tour is accompanied by a multilingual English speaking tour director who is well qualified in the historical and cultural program which is the special theme of the tour.

Smoking

Smoking is not allowed on motorcoaches or minibuses. There will be stops so that passengers can enjoy a smoke.

Responsibility of Plantagenet Tours

We are obliged to use the services of hotels, restaurants, coach companies and others; we cannot be held responsible or liable for the actions or non-actions of people over whom we have no direct control and who are not employed by us. If you have a complaint about the tour program it must be reported to the tour manager/director so that it can be corrected on the spot; if that is not possible it must be reported to our Passenger Relations Manager at our office no later than 28 days after the end of the tour.

Booking

You book (or register) a Plantagenet Tour by filling in and signing a registration form and paying a deposit. After that you are a member of the tour group, and you should pay the balance of the price 90 days before the departure. If you sign up later than 90 days before departure, the complete payment is due at registration.

Single Supplement

The payment of the tour price pays for accommodation in a twin-bedded room; if, however, you wish to have single accommodation you will have to pay a single supplement.

Cancellation by the customer and refunds policy

If you are unable to participate in the tour program you have signed up for, the following rules of cancellation are valid:

Earlier than 21 days before departure: charge US$100
21 to 14 days: charge 25% of tour price
13 to 4 days: charge 50% of tour price
3 days or less before departure: charge 100% of tour price

No Show

Passengers who do not turn up at the agreed meeting point or time or who, because of missing or invalid travel documents or passport cannot join the tour will receive no refund of monies paid to Plantagenet Tours.

Customers Responsibility

The customer is responsible for the possible consequences of illness and/or accidents and must pay possible expenses to doctors, hospitals, ambulances and special transports. It his his/hers responsibility to have adequate medical insurance for such eventualities.

There can be no refunds for unused tour services.

Cancellation by the tour company

Plantagenet Tours reserve the right to cancel a tour because of lacking customer numbers or for any other reason. In such a case the payments will be completely refunded. The customer will have no further claim on the tour company. If a tour has to be cancelled we will offer you another tour with 20% reduction in its ordinary price.

Insurance

Plantagenet Tours advises you to obtain adequate insurance against illness, theft, cancellation and accidents.

Change of travel program

If for reasons beyond the control of Plantagenet Tours events happen which make it necessary to change the tour program, then Plantagenet Tours reserve the right to make such changes.

Responsibility

The responsibility of Plantagenet Tours and/or their agents is strictly limited. They act only as agents for the passenger in regard to hotels, transportation (whether by railroad, motorcoach, minibus, private car, steamship, aircraft or any other conveyance), sightseeing and other services, such as assume no liability for injury, damage, loss, accidents, delay or irregularity which may be occasioned either by reason of defects, through the acts or defaults of any company or person engaged in conveying the passengers or in carrying out the arrangements of the tour, or as a direct or indirect result of acts of God, dangers incident to the sea, fire, breakdown in machinery or equipment, acts of governments or other authorities, de jure or de facto, wars, whether declared or not, hostilities, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, theft, pilferage, epidemics, quarantines, medical or custom regulations, or from any causes beyond Plantagenet Tours control, or from any loss or damage resulting from improper passports, visas or other documents.

Plantagenet Tours can accept no responsibility for loss or additional expenses due to delay or changes in schedule or other causes.

The right is reserved to accept or retain any person as a member of any tour or to change or withdraw the tour as circumstances demand it.
